Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 Part 1 runs from Tuesday, October 27, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 1, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The official name is Halloween 2026 Part I.
Three costumed Pokémon debut, all of which can be Shiny: Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Zubat wearing a top hat, and Sinistea wearing a bow. Wild Pokémon also leave behind Trick or Treat surprises that can give encounters, Candy or Rare Candy.
The catch this year: the 2× Candy and 2× Stardust bonuses aren’t on from the start. You unlock them by ranking up the Halloween GO Pass.
All times below are local.

What Serebii adds
These details aren’t in the official announcement. They come from Serebii’s Halloween 2026 Part 1 page, so treat them as community-sourced.
- Costumed evolutions: Serebii lists Zubat, Golbat and Crobat wearing the top hat, and Sinistea and Polteageist wearing the Halloween bow, as new forms. That suggests the costumes carry through evolution, but it is a database listing, not an official statement.
- GO Pass length: the Halloween 2026 GO Pass is listed with 108 ranks.
- Patissier items: Serebii places the Patissier Top at Rank 15 and the Patissier Pants at Rank 30. It doesn’t say which are free and which need Deluxe, and the announcement lists them as Deluxe rewards, so confirm in-game before counting on them for free.
What isn’t stated
- Whether the 2× Candy and 2× Stardust bonuses stop when the event ends on November 1 or stay on until the GO Pass ends on November 5.
- Shiny odds for any of the costumed Pokémon.
- How often Trick or Treat surprises appear.
- The full wild spawn list and the Field Research tasks.
- Any changes to Eggs. None are listed.
- Whether the costumed Pokémon keep their costume when they evolve. See the Serebii note above.
- How many GO Points each Pass Task gives, or what the additional bonus tasks are. (Serebii lists 108 ranks.)
- The price of the Ultra Box.
How the Halloween GO Pass Bonuses Work
The two bonuses everyone wants are tied to your GO Pass rank:
- Rank 10 turns on 2× Candy for catches (3× with Deluxe).
- Rank 20 turns on 2× Stardust for catches (3× with Deluxe).
The bonuses are worded as “for catching Pokémon,” not only event Pokémon, so they should apply to everything you catch once unlocked.
The Deluxe + 10 Ranks option starts you at Rank 11. That’s past the Rank 10 milestone, so the Candy bonus should be active right away for anyone who buys it.
Every day you spend below Rank 10 is a day of catches without the Candy bonus. If you’re on the free pass, the first priority on October 27 is clearing Pass Tasks, not catching everything in sight.
Perfect CP Values for the Raid and Research Pokémon
A 100% IV (15/15/15) costumed Pikachu or Sinistea has these CPs:
| Pokémon | Where | Research (Lvl 15) | Raid (Lvl 20) | Weather boosted (Lvl 25) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pikachu | Timed Research, one-star raids | 402 | 536 | 670 |
| Sinistea | One-star raids | 488 | 650 | 813 |
Check the CP on the catch screen. A raid Pikachu at 536 CP, or a raid Sinistea at 650 CP, is a 100% IV catch. Rainy weather boosts Pikachu and Fog boosts Sinistea, which is when the boosted numbers apply.
Practical Application: Plan Your Halloween Week
Example: you want Candy for Origin Forme Giratina, which is in five-star raids from October 28 with a Raid Hour that evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you reach Rank 10 on Tuesday or Wednesday morning, the 2× Candy bonus should be active for your Giratina catches during the Raid Hour. If you’re still at Rank 8 when the Raid Hour starts, those catches get normal Candy. See the Origin Forme Giratina raid guide for counters.
A few rules follow from this:
- Rank up before you grind. Clear Pass Tasks first on day one so Rank 10 (2× Candy) is on early.
- Claim the free Timed Research early. The tasks finish themselves, but the 6 Rare Candies and costumed Pikachu encounter vanish at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1. Sunday morning is easy to miss.
- Tap every Trick or Treat surprise. It’s the only listed source of Pikachu, Zubat and Sinistea Candy besides catching, plus a chance at Rare Candy.
- Do one-star raids for the costumes. They’re the only raids added by this event and the easiest way to target Shiny costumed Pikachu and Sinistea.
- Check the weather. Fog boosts Ghost types, so Sinistea, Duskull and Drifblim are boosted. Rainy boosts Water and Electric, which covers Piplup and Pikachu. Windy boosts Flying (Zubat, Drifblim), and Cloudy boosts Poison (Zubat). Boosted catches give more Stardust and can appear at higher levels. See the weather boost guide.
- Go out after dark at least once. The Lavender Town remix only plays at night.
- Claim GO Pass rewards by November 7. You can keep ranking up until 8:00 p.m. on November 5, but anything unclaimed disappears at 8:00 p.m. on November 7.
- Plan Thursday night. The Gastly Spotlight Hour is October 29, during the event. If your Candy bonus is unlocked by then, those Gastly catches should get it too. The full lineup is in the Spotlight Hour schedule, and the rest of the month’s Raid Hours are in the October 2026 Raid Hours guide.
Tracking Your Halloween Catches
With a week of costumed Pikachu, Zubat and Sinistea catches, it’s easy to lose track of which one had the perfect IVs and which Shiny you caught.
A tracker like GoDex can help. Scan a catch screenshot to read CP and IVs, compare it to the perfect CP values above, and mark a Shiny as soon as you get one.
