Silver Bottle Cap Pokémon GO: Into the Wild 2026 Guide

The Silver Bottle Cap is back. It starts Hyper Training on one Pokémon and raises a single stat, Attack, Defense, or HP, up to the maximum. In 2026 it comes from GO Pass Deluxe: Into the Wild, which runs from Monday, November 9, to Sunday, November 15.

The cap has a short shelf life. You have to start training with it by November 22, and the Pokémon you pick must already be a Good Buddy. That makes the next few weeks the real decision window: choose your trainee and build its buddy level before the pass opens.

Silver Bottle Cap: Confirmed Details for Into the Wild 2026

These come from the official Into the Wild 2026 announcement. For the rest of the event, including raids, Max Battles, and the full GO Pass, see our Into the Wild 2026 guide.

  • Where it comes from: GO Pass Deluxe: Into the Wild only. It is not on the free GO Pass track.
  • Cost: US$14.99 for GO Pass Deluxe, or US$19.99 for Deluxe + 10 Ranks (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).
  • Pass dates: Monday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 15, at 6:00 p.m. local time. GO Points have a daily cap from November 9 to 13 and no cap on November 14 and 15.
  • Claim deadline: rewards from the pass must be claimed by Tuesday, November 17, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
  • Use deadline: the Silver Bottle Cap expires on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time, regardless of when you claimed it.
  • What it does: starts Hyper Training on one Pokémon. You pick which stat to train when you select the trainee.
  • Eligibility: the Pokémon must be a Good Buddy or higher. Shadow Pokémon and Pokémon with already maxed stats can’t be trained.
  • Time limit: once you use the cap, you have 365 days to finish the training.
  • Transfer limit: Hyper Trained Pokémon can’t be sent to Pokémon HOME.
  • Task themes: Attack tasks involve battling with your trainee. Defense tasks involve playing, exploring, and catching with it as your buddy. HP tasks involve exploring with it as your buddy, such as spinning PokéStops and earning Buddy Candy.

The Silver Bottle Cap first appeared in Into the Wild 2025. The Gold Bottle Cap, which trains all three stats, is a separate item and is not part of this pass.

What isn’t stated

  • Which GO Pass Deluxe rank awards the cap. The post says only that you earn it by completing the Deluxe pass.
  • Whether a Hyper Trained Pokémon can be traded.
  • Whether an unused cap gives anything back after November 22.
  • Whether you can use a second Silver Bottle Cap on the same Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Hyper Training Tasks: What the Community Has Documented

  • One task per IV point: Serebii’s Hyper Training page lists a separate task for each target IV from 1 to 15, for each stat. A Pokémon at 12 Defense would only need the tasks for 13, 14, and 15. This table was documented when the Gold Bottle Cap launched, and players expect the Silver Bottle Cap to use the same tasks. Check the in-game screen before you commit.
  • The last point is the hardest: in Serebii’s table, the task for 15 is the biggest in every stat:
    • Attack 15: win 40 raids with your trainee in your party.
    • Defense 15: catch 1,500 Pokémon with your trainee as your buddy.
    • HP 15: walk 75 km and earn 10 Buddy Candy with your trainee as your buddy.
  • You can set a lower target: Bulbapedia reports that you choose the target IV, so you can stop short of 15 if a lower value is what you want, for example for a GO Battle League CP cap.
  • Pass rank: in 2025, community guides such as Pokémon GO Hub placed the cap at the final rank, Rank 100. The 2026 rank hasn’t been confirmed.
  • Second cap: DittoBase and Pokémon GO Hub report that a Pokémon can take another Silver Bottle Cap after its first course is finished.
  • Let’s Go transfers: Serebii reports that Hyper Trained Kanto Pokémon can still be sent to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, even though Pokémon HOME is blocked.

Practical Application: Pick the Stat First, Then the Pokémon

Example: you have two candidates. A Dialga at 15/12/15 (Attack/Defense/HP) and a Giratina at 12/15/15. Both are one stat away from perfect, but the work is very different.

  • Dialga needs Defense 13 to 15: power up Steel- or Dragon-type Pokémon 30 times, catch 60 different species, then catch 1,500 Pokémon with Dialga as your buddy.
  • Giratina needs Attack 13 to 15: defeat 40 Team GO Rocket members, beat a Rocket Leader 5 times, then win 40 raids with Giratina in your party.

If you raid every week, Giratina is the faster finish. If you mostly catch and walk, Dialga is. Either fits inside 365 days, but the one that matches how you already play is the one you’ll actually complete.

A few rules follow from this:

  • Choose a Pokémon that’s one stat from perfect. The cap fixes one stat, so a 15/15/12 or 15/12/15 gets the most out of it. A Pokémon with two low stats stays imperfect.
  • Train Attack on raid attackers. Attack is the stat that raises raid damage. For a Legendary you use in raids, an Attack fix matters more than Defense or HP.
  • Check PvP before training. For Great League and Ultra League, a higher stat can push a Pokémon over the CP cap or change its best IV spread. Set a target below 15 if needed.
  • Start buddy hearts now. Your trainee must be a Good Buddy when you use the cap. Set it as your buddy in October so it’s ready on November 9.
  • Avoid Shadow Pokémon and anything you plan to move to Pokémon HOME. Shadows can’t be trained, and a trained Pokémon stays in Pokémon GO.
  • Mind both deadlines. Claim the cap by November 17 and use it by November 22. Training itself then has a full year.
  • Use October’s raids to find a trainee. Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina from the October 2026 Raid Hours are common picks, and raid catches tend to have high IVs, so a near-perfect one is a realistic target.

For the rest of the season’s weekly events, see the Spotlight Hour schedule.

Tracking Your Hyper Training Candidates

Finding a Pokémon that’s exactly one stat off perfect means checking IVs across dozens of Legendaries and long-time buddies. Once training starts, you’re also tracking a target IV and a task list for most of a year.

A tracker like GoDex helps here. Scan catch screenshots to read IVs, filter for Pokémon with two 15s, and tag your chosen trainee so you remember which stat you’re raising.
